John was born in 1951 and has lived most of his life in various Sussex towns, Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Pyecombe, Uckfield, Worth, Hove and Handcross as well as two short spells abroad in Australia and New Zealand and now resides in Hove.
He has worked mainly in the printing and allied industries before a turbulent period becoming involved in various small enterprises including hot tub sales, tropical fish, holiday flat rentals and charity supplies and now works as a small business advisor and a book editor to support his writing.
He is divorced and has four adult children, two sons and two daughters all whom are cleverer and more talented than him.
John only started writing a few years ago, first by entering a few competitions, then moving on to radio plays before trying his hand at a novel whereupon he became hooked and wished he had begun to do it many years ago.
At present he has written three books in the Brothers of the Sword series that follows the fortunes of Harry Woods and his family after a religious dictatorship takes control of Britain, also a quirky comedic novel called Silly Devils about an inept Devil who comes to Sussex to reap more souls, plus a short story that is planned to be turned into an audio file featuring, the end of the world with an imaginary blue hare.
He has also written two plays suitable for radio or stage.
